MORAY (a remotely operated, Moored Acoustic Line Receive ArraY) and BASS (a ship-based Broadband Acoustic Source System) were designed to study acoustic surface scattering in shallow water. The systems were deployed successfully in the East China Sea in support of ASIAEX.
