An APL-UW team will return to the Juan de Fuca Ridge with an international consortium of scientists as part of Project NEPTUNE. NEPTUNE will link about 30 locations on the Juan de Fuca tectonic plate with power and communication for scientific observation and experiments. Tim McGinnis is the lead engineer for the power system and the interface to external scientific sensors for the decades-long deep-sea observatory. More >>
