DEU (Diver Exercise Unit) was designed and fabricated by department engineers to provide a realistic mine training device for the Navy's Explosive Ordnance Disposal divers. The system monitors and records acoustic, seismic, and magnetic signals as generated by the diver. An acoustic alarm warns the diver if programmable threshold levels are exceeded during training operations. Divers receive immediate feedback, thus improving their operational techniques.
