The Applied Physics Laboratory welcomes graduate and undergraduate student researchers. Student research is supported by the individual grants of APL-UW scientists and engineers who have joint faculty appointments on the University of Washington campus.

If you are interested in working under the supervision of an APL-UW staff member, you must:
  • Apply to your academic department of choice (for example, Electrical Engineering or Oceanography) and
  • Contact a prospective APL-UW advisor (see "Faculty and Classes")
