Pharmacometrics and Therapeutic Ultrasound
Marilee Andrew expects to complete her Ph.D. in bioengineering in 2009. Her research interests within pharmacometrics include clinical pharmacology applications, maternal-fetal pharmacokinetics, disease models, study design, optimal dosing and optimal design. Her dissertation title is "Quantifying Pharmacokinetics in Altered Physiological States." She holds a part-time appointment as Senior Engineer in the Center for Industrial and Medical Ultrasound where her research expertise includes high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) dose response studies, therapy protocol design, treatment planning, monitoring and control, and mechanisms of action.
