Dr. Cazzanti specializes in machine learning, signal, image, and information processing. He is particularly interested in classification algorithms that take into account contextual information and handle complex data characterized by heterogeneous features. Since joining the Laboratory in 2001, Dr. Cazzanti has applied his expertise to problems in underwater signal processing, seabed classification, and automatic demodulation and classification of communication signals.
