Software Design

John Elliott designs software for underwater test vehicles and tracking ranges. He developed signal generators to test the ADC EX-9 and ADMATT vehicles and designed software systems for the Navy's San Clemente and Santa Catalina Island tracking ranges.
His recent designs include the software for the Vehicle Dynamics Verification System (VDVS) used at Panama City, Florida, and software for the Diver Evaluation Unit, an underwater seismic, magnetic, and acoustic data acquisition system. He is an expert in Fortran, C, and various machine languages. Mr. Elliott joined the Laboratory in 1978.
