Lyle Gullings provides engineering support to several programs in the areas of equipment design, assembly, and testing, and documentation development. He conducted operability and performance tests of the Vertical Line Array Receiver System and participated in the installation of the shore equipment at Pillar Point, CA, and the underwater components at Pioneer Seamount. He participated in the installation of the ATOC (Acoustic Tomography of Ocean Climate) power amplifier and instrumentation, and the deployment of the source transducer at Kauai, HI. He modified a second ATOC power amplifier for deployment with the CTBT (Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty) Calibration Source. He integrated and assembled the components of a high voltage power supply for the Hawaii-2 Observatory (H2O) System and participated in its installation at Oahu, HI. He provides maintenance support of Laboratory-designed power supplies for IUSS (Integrated Undersea Surveillance System) sites. He participates in the assembly and installation of components of the AN/BQH-9, AN/UNQ-9, and NSSN shipboard data recording systems. Mr. Gullings joined the Laboratory staff in 1992 after having provided contractual engineering services since 1967.
