Mark Ortmeyer is a computer systems and network administrator for the UNIX-, Macintosh-, and Windows-based computers in the Polar Science Center. He is versed in UNIX shell scripting, HTML design, HDF, C, Fortran, Perl, and major productivity software. He is a data manager for many of the department's larger datasets (IABP, POLES, TOVS) and helped write software to generate a multiyear HDF dataset for the Arctic and Antarctic. He also leads the data analysis and publication efforts for the annual IABP data report. Mr. Ortmeyer joined the APL-UW staff in 1996.
